Review of Lady Gaga's Judas Debut Performance posted at 12:52 AM

This performance may not have been Gaga's best performance in terms of vocals, but Mother Monster sure danced her ass off for this. I really loved the concept of the performance and you can really see that a lot of thought has been put into the choreography. Just a little disappointed that she did not do the "EW" live. The "EW" part is really my favourite part of the song.

Love, is an understatement, to my feelings towards the Judas choreography. It is jovial, memorable, tribal to a certain extent and convenient for Little Monsters everywhere who live and breathe Gaga.

The concept of the performance, on the other hand, is very intriguing. Anyone who has ever attempted basic literature would know that Gaga's leap to the lower stage represent the descent from what she originally sees as good, represented by the guitarists in golden angel wings, to a world of "darkness", represented by her dancers in black.

After taking a short and fast walk in this new world, she immediately dances in uniform with the darkness. While they are dancing, lights in the background mimic that of fire, which changes from orangey red to Hades blue back and forth, throughout the performance.

This concept of the performance is in tie with the concept of the song, whereby Lady Gaga keeps going back to what she know is wrong, just because it gives her a good feeling.

The stage, however,  gets brighten up at the song's breakdown symbolising Lady Gaga's enlightenment. She goes into a deep thought about her faith by comparing it in the "biblical sense" and the "cultural sense". Shortly after, she declares "Jesus is my virtue and Judas is the demon I cling to".

Lady Gaga wants us to know, that it is alright if darkness exists, in your life. We would not know light, if darkness did not exist. That we all need to forgive ourselves for anything regretful we have done. She wraps up with a few more counts of choreography, before the stage gets brightly-lighted up again.

THIS BITCH <3. Someone needs to literally give her an award for just putting so much thought into everything. But of course, this is just my interpretation to this performance, weaved in with Gaga's explanation to this song from the interviews. I cannot wait for the music video next week. This bitch be causin' controversy like no other.
