Day 23: A Letter To Someone

Dear 14 year old Dyan,

You were a silly boy. You got depressed over a boy who was not even hot. What were you thinking?! The best part of it all was the fact that you got depressed over the fact that he was not giving you enough attention...Smh you were so unfabulous!

This was the only good thing out of your emo era, okay? Okay.

You need to get out of that depression quick, quit cutting surface deep cuts on your skin and stop listening to your "underground" music bullshit because every single person you know will be trying to fit into the "out" crowd in 2-3 years time. Go ahead & embrace trashy pop music, sis! I promise you that you will be a bigger non conformist than you already are.

Oh by the way, when you turn 15, you'll like this ratchet singer called Katy Perry...you'll get out of it by the time you turn 16. She will only be good during her first album. Her album, One Of The Boys, will help you through O Levels but you'll find true salvation my dear friend. Salvation will take physical manifestation in this badass superstar, Lady Gaga.

The good sis can sing, dance, influence the world of fashion and legalise gay marriage by herself so you best prepare your weave for that future. Oh...you'll also meet the Lord & Saviour on the 28th of May 2012, so um you better prepare.

You'll be putting on quite a bit of weight, so do enjoy being skinny. I'll do my best to get your 19 year old self in good shape. The 17 year old you were rather irresponsible and he ate quite a fair bit. Hope you don't try to get yourself into the hospital with this rather bleak of piece of news.

By the way, swallowing 12 panadols with Lime 100 Plus does absolutely nothing...Just get out of your self-induced depression okay.
